How can I change my chart type in MT4 or MT5?
To change the chart type in MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5), follow these steps:

1. Select the asset you want to chart from the market watch window.
2. Right-click on it and choose "chart window", or drag it to an open chart window.
3. Look for the chart type icons on the top toolbar and click the one you want or use keyboard shortcut:
- Alt + 1: bar chart – shows the chart as a sequence of bars.
- Alt + 2: candlestick chart – shows the chart as a sequence of Japanese candlesticks.
- Alt + 3: line chart – shows the chart as a broken line that connects close prices of bars.
If the icons aren't visible, go to view > toolbars and make sure charts is selected.
